Christ is risen! Indeed He is risen!

Pascha is my favorite time of the year! I love the joy of this season, the hope of rebirth and resurrection!

We celebrate this day with our Church family, beginning with Liturgy and continuing with a wonderful garden party, all day feasting, an egg hunt and confetti egg chase, and ice cream cocktails.

We hang eggs on our Pascal tree, reminding us of the new birth we have through the risen Christ, He who conquers death by death on a tree.

We light our Paschal candle, remembering the Light of the World. The candle sits inside the crown of thorns that we have had out all through the Great Fast, but now that crown is adorned with lilies, speaking again of the power of Life over death, Love over fear.

Wherever you are on your journey, it is a time of new beginnings, second chances, and a celebration of Life and Light!

Christ is risen from the dead, Christ is risen from the dead, Christ is risen from the dead! By death He trampled death, and to those in the tomb He granted life!
